来自加州湾区、拥有130万粉丝的 TikTok 博主 Against All Odds，近日发布视频吐槽称，她带着13岁的儿子前往当地一家 Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse 庆祝生日时，因着装问题被拒绝进入主餐区，对此她十分不满，甚至指责餐厅存在歧视行为，称其“选择性执行所谓的规定”。不过，这段经历在网上却引发了完全不同的反应，大量网友反而站在餐厅一边。有评论直言：“很遗憾你有不好的经历，但这次错的是你，百分之百。”
这名网红在视频中表示，餐厅对着装规定的执行并不一致。当晚包括她儿子在内的7人被拒绝入场，其中她的姐妹因为穿着运动套装（tracksuit）被认为不符合要求而无法进入主餐区。她强调，自己此前也曾穿类似服装在该餐厅用餐，却并未遭到阻拦。

Her & I were just here in February and I myself had on the same tracksuit in a different color with no problems. In fact we’ve been to this exact location several times wearing casual clothing. This evening as soon as we walked in the woman who stated she was the manager immediately gave my family a once over and seemed to turn her nose up while asking if my sister who was standing in our group was with us… I said “um yeaaaa” and she proceeded to say we could not eat in the dining area with her dressed like that. I asked what was different from February when we were here and she disregarded my question. To make matters worse I look behind me and there is someone seated in the main dining area with an all black hoodie on which the policy the lady was holding in our face says is unacceptable. When I pointed out that the policy does not mention tracksuits she started talking about cannabis and how that’s not listed on the policy either because it makes people upset but that they “don’t have to be that detailed” …. After trying to explain to another manager that we visit this establishment almost every month and dress code has never been enforced which has now caused confusion the only resolution we were offered was to sit separately in the bar area. 现场张贴的着装告示显示，餐厅禁止顾客穿戴棒球帽、健身或运动类服装（gym/athletic wear）、背心、带有冒犯性文本的衣物、暴露服装、露出内衣的穿搭以及泳装等。餐厅员工进一步表示，规定中无需逐项列出所有可能的服装类型，也不需要特别标明“运动套装”。
期间，另一名员工曾提出可以让他们在吧台区域用餐作为替代方案，但该网红拒绝了这一安排，理由是不希望家人被分开就餐。她还在现场表示，将把这次经历公开发布到网络上。“我们以后不会再来了，而且我要明确告诉你，我会把这件事公开。”她在视频说明中还补充称，一进门时，一位自称经理的员工曾上下打量他们一家，并用略带轻蔑的语气询问同行人员是否属于同一行。
她在视频中回忆说：“我回答‘当然是’，结果她就说我的姐妹穿成这样不能在主餐区用餐。我问她为什么2月份来时没问题，但她完全没有回应我的问题。更让我不理解的是，我看到主餐区里有人穿着全黑连帽衫，而经理手里的规定明明写着这种服装也不被允许。”
事件曝光后，该 Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse 餐厅向媒体确认，他们执行的是“商务休闲”（business casual）着装标准，明确禁止运动裤、运动服、透视装以及过于暴露的服饰。同时，在视频评论区，大量网友对网红的指控表示不认同。一条获得超过1000个点赞的评论写道：“运动套装本来就是运动服。”还有人留言：“谢谢你，Ruth’s Chris！”
据了解，Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse 自上个月起开始加强对顾客着装的管理。其母公司 Darden Restaurants 也提醒顾客，旗下餐厅整体风格严格遵循“商务休闲”，并要求顾客穿着“得体服装”。
